So I just downloaded a bunch of music videos from P2P because I need them for a school project. Two of them are .mpg and two of them are .mpeg. I made a new iMovie project, dragged the files to the "clips" section, and waited an hour for them to all import.

Now why the fuck isn't there any sound? I'm doing a project for Spanish on fucking Shakira and I need the music in there :wtc:

Or is there any other free, easy video editing program I could use with these files? Basically, I've got 4 video files that are about 3:40 each, and I want to shorten each to like 30 seconds and just make the video and sound fade in and out.

Does anyone know if I can burn it using Toast? I think I uninstalled iDVD because I bought Toast Titanium.

So I did that, and the .mov file has no sound.

What am I doing wrong? I used the default settings for converting to Quicktime Movie file, whats not working?

If there is something wrong with my Files (maybe the audio is in the video portion of the clip, so when they try to convert it, instead of being seperated it just forgets about the audio file) I can use other clips. I can also grab the videos from Youtube (I think thats possible) then convert those then put that in iMove, but idk.

I hate to keep on bumping this but this is due tomorrow and I'm fucked if it doesn't work out. From what I've seen the conversions take a while etc so I'd like to get this done sooner rather than later.

If anyone has any ideas on how to help me please share them :big grin:

Also I just went to the "Options" next to "Movie to Quicktime Movie" in the export menu, and it only lets me change options for Video, the Sound section is completely greyed out, and the little box next to sound is un-checked.

Alright, don't worry about it. Basically I just dragged the entire 4 minute .mpeg clips into Toast and burned them to a DVD, it's now letting me play THOSE, but not the .mov file I had before so I'll just edit the videos then save them how they were and see how that goes.

    Thanks again guys.
