:hai: OT, so im assuming this is the right place to post this.

a while ago i started getting shoulder pain with my shoulder raises and dumbbell flies. the pain didn't stop and got worse, so I ended up going to the doctors/physiotherapist about it. I was told that it hurt because I was doing the exercises with my shoulders 'rounded forwards' - the heads of the shoulders were too far in front. and indeed, when I consciously set them back, i could lift lightly without my shoulders hurting.

since i had not been doing any back exercises, could it be the case that the shoulder was rounded forward because of an imbalance in the muscles? and in that case, what sort of back exercises would be helpful in getting rid of the imbalance and getting my shoulder back to its normal position?

    thanks :bigthumb:
