What years were they made?
94-96 were the good years recently.
Caprices and Roadmasters from those years have the LT1 too.
The late model ones 94-96
and they just started again with 04 even thou they are FWD
all the ones i'm finding are `96s. were they made any other years?
I like the new impalas, sucks that they're fwd though.
The best ones were made in 96 - 350 HP engine and RWD - and cool as all hell
96 is the best year for them. they got the console shift, as opposed to on the column. there are some other subtle differences too, but 96 is def the best. you will not be disappointed.
260hp 350ci, just like the 94 and 95's.
console shifter is
No ImpalaSS was made between 97-2003
I think there was a computer change in '96, also the only year for the burgundy color, IIRC. The blue green was out in '95. All 94's were black. Those cars have an incredible ride. May not be as fast as an F body with the same engine, but you get a lot more out of the car overall.
I've been looking at Mark VIII's too, both these cars would fucking suck on gas though
96 was the best model. no gay digital speed display
With the exception of the OBD-2 stuff. 96's also got analog guages.
What I did was get a 95, throw in a analog guage cluster and a floor shifter. THat way I have the benefits of the 96 cars but without OBD-2
I have a fetish for black cars
94's are all black.
95-96 could be black, Dark grey green , or Dack Cherrry mettalic
Also 94's have the door mounted side mirrors which are horrible along with the C- pillar insert that looks fugly. Stick with 95 or a 96
On Board Diganostics 2nd generation. It makes modding the car and passing smog easily a tough chore in Ca.
