What programs allow you to do this?
are there limitations?
anyone with experience doing this?
Most allow this. They all require a driver for your RAID controller. Most have popular controller drivers pre-loaded. Ghost is one example that provides a mechanism for injecting your own RAID controller driver into ghost.
After that, you'd simply need to re-create the array, then boot to the imaging product and re-image the array as if it were any other drive.
