The LCD screens that Apple uses are great. I wonder if they're from Sony.

It's not that they look "better" rather than that they look "different". I dunno if you're a Mac fanboy Vbgod, but in all honestly, a properly set up PC shits all over a mac in visuals, it's just that Mac's are all uniform and identical, they don't have end users fucking up the settings.

I can make any picture look shit on a mac and look shit on a pc, it's just about hardware setup. Too many n00bs use PCs and fuck their settings so they can see into shadows in CS or something..

A good move, I don't want to buy a mac until they stop using proprietry hardware. When I can build a Mac from scratch, that's when I will get one. Like they say, if you didn't build it, then it's not really yours.

Lol, i remember working on a mate's pc and couldn't get it to show a certain very dark colour correctly. When I asked him what was going on he said "oh that's my CS gamma settings" and turned down the gamma/contrast stuff on the screen.

So I beat him with a hose until my arm got tired.. then I came here.

werd. i had my mac and dell sitting literally side-by-side. i finally found the hardware configs for the video card, and made it look a lot cleaner than the mac.

If they were from Sony, they'd look great but only last one month.

    Read his name again, VBGOD.

It's about the hardware, not settings. You can't say "a properly set up PC" because there is no single configuration for everyone like Apple. People with an Apple generally have one of their displays. And yes, they are much better than most regular PC displays (the cost could give you a clue). I haven't "fucked up" my settings and the display of an Apple is far better than my Dell monitor.

What is proprietary on the current G5? I remember seeing an article about someone building an Apple computer from scratch (a G4 system).
