So I'm working on this site, and I've got some images, but when I resize them, they get distorted. On my screen (17" MacBook Pro with 1680x1050 resolution) everything looks fine, but one my 14" ThinkPad with 1024x768, the images look pretty shitty. Does anyone have a suggestion for getting them to look better?

What format are they in? That's probably your issue.

They're currently GIF's, but I could change them if needed. The images were cut out in Photoshop, and saved via "Save for Web & Mobile Devices"

You're formatting it on a screen that's between 4:3 and 16:9 (not standard) and then viewing them on a std 4:3 monitor ...

Is it possible that you are not keeping the same ratios when you are resizing them?

I checked that. I had the correct ratio. Even if that was the issue, that wouldn't cause my MacBook Pro to show it correctly, and my ThinkPad not to

So then how do I know what attributes to make the image so that it can be seen well on all screens?

Ok, so I just checked how the site looks on my 15" iMac G4 with a 1024x768 resolution, and I see no problem.

I wonder if it's just your computer?

Have you checked with your main computer and changed your screen resolutions to see if you can recreate the problem?

Sounds like a computer issue then. Paste your site to see if any of use can recreate th problem.
