    Fellowship just started. :noes:

I wonder if I'm going to like them as much this time as I did before.

It's worth it. Too many fake endings, but still a great film.

I really hope the Hobbit movie gets made.

I like fellowship because the Ring Wraiths are more scary on horses.

Seriously? It's maybe my favorite of the three. By far the closest to the book.

    Yes, it was.

You know, if they had just cut out all the Frodo-making-weird-eyes-at-the-camera shots, they would have had enough time to put the Scouring of the Shire back in. :squint:

I actually never read them until I was 29. :o

Then I finally read The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, and The Silmarillion all in a row, and kicked myself for not having read them sooner. :hs:

I really like the Rankin-Bass Hobbit. It still bothers me that Jackson didn't model his goblins after those. That was some scary shit when I was in 3rd grade. :noes:

It's been a long time since I saw the Bakshi LOTR though, and I've never seen the R-B Return of the King. Is it any good?

I was at first, but he's really a big departure from the story. The only thing you lose from cutting him out is the problem at the barrow-downs, and you have to come up with a new (stupid) way of getting the hobbits their swords.

Having Elrond ride up and go "hay guys, here, have some swords" was pretty gay.
