currently he has a computer about 3 years old that i built for him and he wants to upgrade it a bit, nothing big we're talking about maybe putting $300 or so into it. He doesnt do alot of gaming, mainly WoW and some supreme commander and CS. What he does do is some video editing, he likes to capture halo 3 games from the TV and edit them so thats why im thinking about leaving the vid card as is.

    Right now hes got

    AMD 3200+ CPU
    MSI motherboard 939 slot
    Nvidia 6600GT vid card
    3gb of ram
    180gb Seagate HD

    im thinking about going with

    C2D E6750
    Gigabyte P35 board
    corsair XMS2 2GB
and reusing the rest of the stuff

Comes in at $338. hows that sound?

Do it on a rainy day, with the windows open. Chances are you're still using heat in your house, which means the air is dry, and static is a bitch this time of year.
