"I have seen how Indians maintain slushie machines"
    then
"I really don't trust their guns"

He's right. Those porchmonkeys can't maintain their rifles worth a damn, so they paint them black. He's better off with a regular SMLE. Mine is still in pieces six months later.

It's still soaking in brake cleaner to get the paint off :hsugh:

I still haven't reached the actual wood under the fucking varnish either, not with 80 grit and an orbital sander :ugh:

I don't think so. If you'd have said no, I probably would have passed on it. I got the last of AIMs cheap .308 with it, so it wasn't that bad a deal. I just have to spend a fuckload more time than I wanted to on it.

No, it's too big of a project for you.

    :eek3:

edit: Wouldn't the rifle be built with mostly British tooling anyway?

    edit 2: .303 < .308, good luck finding a source for .303 in a few years.

The surplus for .303 isn't that bad. Sportsman Guide sells 200 rounds for about 30 bucks. Better than paying for the new shit that costs 21 bucks for 20 rounds.
