    Hey guys,

I'm trying to build a store with a a bunch of products I have... over 1000 I'd say. Is ecommerce a good platform to use? I just need the basics such as ability to search and categorize products by type and brand. Also to accept payments through paypal and credit cards. Anyone have experience setting something like this up?

I've set up osCommerce before and it's not all bad. Interface could use some tweaks out of the box...

And the add-ons are out there for paypal and creditcard processing...

Using shopping cart you can easily setup your ecommerce website, you can try Zen cart, OScommerce, CUbe cart etc....

I've worked with Zen cart, and I created my own front end with it pretty easily. I like it a lot.
