After being over in Okinawa for over a year, I've about had it with everyone. I literally hate EVERYTHING. But today, after an full day of being surrounded by retards I went on a run on the track and I'm pretty sure I was cursing out loud for the 4 miles I ran (had iPod in and zoned the fuck out.)

I've been in for about 2 years myself, but was an Army brat up until I graduated HS and I NEVER saw my Dad like this.

I've been called a great worker, a shit hot Airman and a slew of other compliments, so it doesn't affect my work. Is this shit normal?

I dread work each day, but I try to see each day as a step closer to terminal leave and my DD214.

    Maybe it's just your unit.

    it's completely normal.
maybe talk it out with someone that you think isn't retarded or someone you don't hate.

Yep, perfectly normal. Thats why I got off of active duty AF, and went Air Guard and to a job I actually like doing. AF sucks for trying to crosstrain.

youll be fine, taking it out by yourself on a run was a good idea...try to find a few more things that will help you like that. i took bjj classes while i was in hawaii, im sure theres a place out there if youd be interested in that. or you could try boxing or just hitting the punching bag by yourself now and then.

Most people that have gone to Iraq/Afghanistan/Africa would rather be there than stuck on a boat :hs:

I had a few days like that. I work my ass off, and some retard who didn't do shit gets recognition. I was a PFC at the time. After that, I would complete the mission and just move on.

:dunno: .... are you on a 4 year active contract? Just think of it this way- you have 2 more years to go. Make the best of them. Instead of you bitching about other people, stir things up a little bit. Retards will continue to be retards unless someone intervenes. If it doesn't work, keep trying.

I was thinking the same thing if I was still in... I was at DMAFB the whole time and the only time I went anywhere was to Tyndall during spring break, heh.

Anyways to Redbull: Are there any places you can drive and go on a hike or something alone? Thats what I did when I was in Tucson...

Yea sounds like you need a change of pace. Another duty station. Get a into a school so you are away for a while. Everyone needs time away.

    You at Luke?

No, I joined on a 6. And its not being in the military thats pissing me off and it sure as hell isn't my job because I love what I do, its the fact that I work on fucking JET ENGINES and have people around me that do nothing but fuck around like it's nothing. Hell, I know one guy that smokes Spice almost every night:ugh:

7 days till I'm back in FL for a month, I hope that's a long enough change of pace to get my head right:hsd:

fuck that, i'd rather do my last 1.5 years in the marine corps deployed in afghanistan rather than rot away in lejeune dealing with garrison bullshit.

I don't know, I stayed in WESPAC for 6 years and loved it. Every chance I got, I got away from other Marines and other Americans. I got out into the local culture. I studied Japanese....I actually SAW Japan.

GET OFF BASE and AWAY from the Jarhead and Airmen. You are in a country that has been around for thousands of years...

expereince the culture, you are in a place people saved their whole lives just to visit for a views weeks. It would be a shame for you to wast such an opportunity.

Grow up............you joined to see the world, now you are seeing it.

It's normal to get pissed when you've been in a place you hate. Doesn't even have to really suck, some people just don't enjoy certain tours. That's the whole reason MWR gets $$.
