First got the M1 and one shot would really fould the barrel with copper. Had to clean it a lot to get it all out.

Yesterday at the range I did a shot, cleaned. Then did three shots and cleaned and got these patches. First few (bottom left) are Shooter's Choice to get all the black powder fouling off. I then switched to Sweets 7.62. I do it mostly like the bottle says. Soak a patch, run up and down the barrel for a minute, let it sit for a minute, and then patch dry.

I just finished cleaning today after a 5 shot group and these are the patches I got today. It cleaned up fast as hell. I expected to have to be working patches through it for awhile.

First ones are Shooter's Choice and then each other 2 patch group is a cycle of Sweets. :wiggle:

I did another Sweets after I took the picture and it came out w/o any blue.

I think I'm going to do another group w/ whatever Federal I have left (I think 8 shots), clean it up, and then sight the rifle in and hit the 200 yard+ stuff.
