is coming back to Ford after 33 years! He's going to be designing the high-performance cars for Ford.

Do you think he'll make a new Shelby Mustang?

"I swear my anal cavitiy looked like a N1 style exhaust tip when he was done!"

    haha no.

Just trying to make conversation while in the locker room... so there isn't all that uncomfortable silence in the gang shower.

I hate gang showers... Why don't gyms make individual showers?

Thanks... I made it a point to remember his name this morning (I heard it on news radio)... and by the time I made this thread, I'm like "Chuck Shelby?... no... Chris Shelby... no... Charlie Shelby... no..."

    Maybe.

But, I'm sure his creativity is still young... and knowing him (which I don't), I'm sure he's kept up with the technology and such.

So, I really really hope he designs a new Mustang that rocks!!!

Would be really cool if they made a hi-po (thinking GT-600) version of the new 2005 Mustang...

Especially since it's similar to "his" old body style

Not trying to flame, but hasn't every car Shelby has made in the past two decades been pretty lame? I'm not really a domestic guy, so excuse my ignorance if I'm wrong.

i was talking to someone at work that was saying Shelby has a bunch of "brand new" classic mustangs sitting in a garage somewhere with <10 miles on them....that never made it to production

I think Carroll is 80, not 77. He had a heart transplant years ago so he may live for a while yet. He's a tought SOB. I doubt that he'll be actually "designing" cars rather more like lending his name to cars that will have a few performance mods and slight exterior modifications like he did to the Shelby Mustang GT 350 and 500.
