I'm sure it's different for everybody, but... at what BF% do you see definition?

    Just trying to get an idea here. I'm around 12-14% by the calculations I've done, but I still feel "soft". I'm sure it varies based on how/where you carry your fat stores, genetics, etc, but... at what % did you guys really start to notice definition instead of a nice layer of fat smoothing out all the lines? :dunno:

    Not really. Some of those guys have tons of muscle and look like fatasses when they walk around. Get em under a bar and they explode, but otherwise they're nice and round. :dunno:

    you don't have any muscle... losing more weight isnt going to do anything

    lift weights and put on muscle... if you just keep dieting down in an effort to see definition you'll look like a skeleton. Check out the stickies and pick a diet/routine and stick with it for 6 months.

    I'm working out and keeping protien intake high, just trying to keep calories in general down. You think that's gonna be THAT counterproductive to putting on muscle?

    Any particular reason? And don't rattle off something like "you can't lose fat and gain muscle at the same time"

    You need an excess of calories to build lean mass. A restricted calorie diet will work against you.

    Dude, you're WAY too skinny to be worrying about your diet. You look like you need to just exercise more... That's why you're "skinny fat". You have twiggy arms and skinny upper body, but a fat stomach.

    Hit the gym, 150g protein a day, and eat as much as you possibly can. Just make sure you're working out as hard as you're eating.

    You need to lift a lot more. Cardio will help to get rid of some of your gut but if definition is your goal, lift.
