so i went to a local store today to see if they had any ar15's and yes they did. had an RRA entry tactical (what i want) for $899 and a bushmaster for $899. they also had dpms mags for $15 and cases of wolf for $75.

i walked out with nothing. i spent an hour in there trying to decide to get it from them or try and find it on the internet and left with nothing. the total was going to be $962 after taxes. considering the wait time for ordering an RRA online and shipping, ffl and background check it might be close to the same price. ($869 for it at ar15sales.com and there is a long wait)

should i go back tomorrow and get it?

I'd do $129 for an sks. $899 is more than I'm willing to pay for an AR, though.

i'm seriously considering it. i honestly spent an hour in the store and 20 minutes in my car deciding on it.

they also had an olympic arms for $799 but it felt cheap compared to the rra and bushy

If you dont want to build one then go for it, I personally would build but if you dont want to then it seems like an ok price, the wolf for $75 is a real good deal.

even if i try to build one, from what i've read, i'd still have to wait for the parts as if i'm waiting on the entire gun

Ah well depends what you want then, havnt checked the ar15 section of the arfcom EE in awhile, dont know what is and isn't available as far as RRA parts there are other alternitives though, Stag stuff is made on the same machinery as the RRA stuff and cheaper, if its just the chrome lined barrels that are in short supply use a different barrel, I've got a Colt barrel in an otherwise all RRA upper shoots great :dunno:

Friends dont let friends buy Oly Arms, I honestly dont think you could go wrong with either,

RRAs feel more custom and every one of them is QA tested. Bushys are more mass produced and less QA'd but still both are excellent rifles.

No walmart doesnt have wolf just Win, Rem, CCI, and other manafactuers, $75 for a case of Wolf 223 is a pretty damn good deal, is it a full 1000rd case or one of the 640 round spam cans? If its a spam can its not that good of a deal but if its an actual full case it is an excellent deal.

The walmart around here I dont think carries it. Make sure you buy a boresnake with your Wolf ammo too.
Get another mag, what the hell, buy it all!

I havn't checked out online wolf 223 prices lately but last I checked I think they were going for $115ish for a full case of 1000 rounds. Dont forget cleaning supplies too, like Y2K said a boresnake would be a good idea makes barrel cleaning much easier.

Thats my opinion too but I guess he wants all RRA parts and some of the parts arent available online right now :dunno: I got plenty of mixed parts guns with Stag, RRA, Bushy, Colt parts mixed together, as long as its all USGI spec stuff doesnt matter to me.
