I have the clients (Old PPL for the most part)
This is a side project to see if it will take off,

now I have pretty much everything but I dont have a Virus utility yet....
Should I get some sort of Portable Virus remover?
    or download something better?
(I never use any Virus shit on my PC, But thats just me i guess)

Any and all advice would be great.

These are all you need. If they don't fix it or you can't get them to run it's format time. I usually run hijack this first to get things out of the startup and then scan it with malware bytes or something and then install mse.

thanks for suggesting that it looks like it has some nice tools on it I didn't know about. Cant wait to try out the bios cracker. I have a bunch of HP laptops I don't know the BIOS password to. You have to disassemble the entire fucking thing to get to the CMOS battery :madfawk:

ok I'm trying to make a paper with all my info & what I can do on it.
But I'm running into some trouble using Office 2007

I want it to be Landscape mode and make 2 papers out of it,

    ------------------------------------------
    . . .
    . title . title .
    . . .
    . . .
    . . .
    . . .
    . . .
    . . .
    ------------------------------------------
    :)mamoru: I know)

And the info I'm thinking of putting on it would read:

    --------------------------------------------------------
    LOCAL TECH.
    "I can Fix That"

    My Name
    Phone
    Email

    - If I cant help, its free
    - I'm Local
    - Computer running slower then before?
    - Have Wireless internet around your house
    - Upgrade your computer
    - Upgrade your computer parts
    - Format
    - Install a new operating system (New Windows)
    - Can Clean Viruses & get you up and running in no time
    ---------------------------------------------------------

Feel free to add or remove to this, I really need to get this going soon.
and thanks for all the help.

Make sure to rip people off slightly less than the rest of you people do.

I worked in a PC repair shop, I couldn't stomach charging 2 hours of work at $80 an hour for spending 15 minutes on a computer and waiting for it to do automated shit for the rest of the 1:45... If you completely lack any form of morality you might make it in that business.

Srsly. Like most of the service industry, the fees are ridiculous. Still, if you need to pay rent, you charge whatever you need to start.

Those fees aren't for you sitting there doing the work only, its for the knowledge you hold because they can't do this job themselves. You've learned that knowledge and you get paid to use it. I agree $80 an hour is too much and thats about what we charge here. In 1/2 hour I'm going down to remove a virus from a computer. Its $30/hour to drive there and $75/hour to remove it. I bring with me the same list of programs but also have ERD 2003 and 2007 (I think its 2007) but those are both small OS's on a bootable cd/dvd that allows me to change passwords, make registry changes and mount the OS if need be. I also like to have a tool called auto runs. Its great for seeing all the little shit that starts with the computer.

I would recommend seatools for a bootable hard drive tester.

But if you cant get it out with the tools listed above its just a reformat. In that case, I would recommend making a driver pack install of XP. Saves headaches.

also make sure you have extra sata/pata cords. i always bring an empty external hard drive that accepts sata and pata and also a connector for 2.5" pata drives from older laptops
sometimes i'll bring an dvdrw drive, just incase the on installed in the system is not functional
also, a flash drive with all the utilities listed above on it doesn't hurt
and i pack a small baggie of jumpers

having an extra power supply or small monitor can help out also

and of course i always bring my own laptop in case i need to download drivers or something, don't forget a straight through and crossover ethernet cable

If you lack any form of morality you will make it in any business. It's no different than a mechanic that charges $80/hr to change a part that takes 10 minutes.

Oddly enough I have the stomach for making money.
