My craving was bad enough, but I talked to a guy at the range today and he let me shoot his. It fed shitty wolf ammo just fine and I shot like a 2" 6-round group with irons at 50 yards. :eek5: Said he went through about 100 rounds today and not one malfunction. The sights were a bit canted but it wasn't too bad. He bought is for $350 OTD. I need to be saving for my AR.

You'll get to shoot the AK 10x more than the AR with ammo prices what they are right now.

    Do eet.

There are far better AKs out there than WASRs. They're pretty much the worst AK on the market. Take it from me - I own one that goes FTE and/or FTF once every 200 rounds or so.

Mine works great. No problems yet after 600+ rounds from me and however many the previous owner(s) fired.

Atlantic has a nice selection, if you want a WASR AIM is probably cheapest.

Yugo underfolders are decent, I'm not a fan of them because of the non chrome barrel's, and its built by century too, I'd spend another $50ish on a non century yugo or another $100 for a polish. I've seen some WASR underfolders cheap too I'd be half tempted to get one of them over the yugo's for the chrome lining.

That sucks. My WASR is great...except for the trigger slap. :o I need to replace the trigger group but I've been lazy.

Funny, I took it out today after leaving it to sit around for months and had one failure to extract and a bunch of trigger reset failures. Seems that the 20rd tanker mags I like to use at the range have some issues...

The fact that 5.45x39 magazines are so hard to find is kind of putting me off. :hs: I really don't like the look of the bakelite ones, is there a good place to buy steel mags?

I have a WASR 10 underfoler, it has been flawless thus far. Finish isn't great, but it's fed everything I've put through it.

As for the Yugo underfolders, I've got one of those too and it has been perfect. The sights on it were dead ass straight with no adjustments. After this weekend the round count is up to 3k+ on that gun, not a single malfunction.

I keep hearing good things about the Yugo underfolders from AIM Surplus. Anyone here bought one from them? Since I'm not having a great time with my WASR, thought I'd get something else...

You can get black polymer ones too, the steel ones aren't that easy to come by lately and usually twice the cost of the bakelites or polymers.

AIM is about an hour from my house, I buy stuff from them all the time and just pick it up. They are good people.

Even though the prices for 5.45 are a little cheaper, I'm still leaning towards 7.62. I don't know what it is about the WASR-10 I shot, but I love that "all-business" look to it. I'm so torn right now between this and building up an AR. :hs:

I prefer AK's over AR's but I prefer 5.45, I've not taken any of my 7.62's to the range in a few months.

I think I may buy one of these and put together an AR lower with my tax return.

It's that or buy an M&P9c :o I really want a rifle though.
