Newest revision with first year warranty lasting until February of 2006 (eligible for extended AppleCare warranty).

    - 15.2" (1280x854), NO dead pixels
    - 1.5ghz G4
    - 1.5gb RAM
    - 80gig HD with motion sensor
    - 64mb ATI video card
    - Backlit keyboard
    - Scrolling touchpad
    - Combo drive (CD-RW/DVD-ROM)
    - Bluetooth 2.0 EDR
    - Airport Extreme
    - Brand new battery (Apple recall) that lasts ~4.5 hours with wireless on/bluetooth off and the screen dimmed.

The computer is FLAWLESS. I treat the thing better than I treat myself. This means no scratches, dents or dings on any part of the computer. I will include the ScreenSavr I bought to protect/clean the screen. I have everything that came with the computer (cables, manuals, CD's, box etc).

I'll ship it out with OS X Tiger; I don't have the original install CD (my friend is an idiot), but I have a copy of it that I'll send out. I also have the following pieces of software:

    iWork (Keynote and Pages)
    Office 2004
    Photoshop CS
Virtual PC 7.0 with Windows XP
    Starcraft

I'll ship it out with those programs installed and it's up to you to delete them if you don't own them (you can make backups of these programs onto CD's from the HD if you need to).

As for price...this exact computer brand new would cost you $1999+tax, so ~$2150 NOT including the extra gig of memory. I figure $2000 for the laptop and $150 for the memory is fair, so the asking price is $2150 OBO.

    My email is: [email protected]

Edit: I don't have any pictures right now, but I think I may have some that I took a while ago. If I can find them, I'll post them up. Otherwise, it looks just like a brand new 15" Powerbook.

Edit #2: This computer can multitask like a mofo (everything was running smoothly):

Edit #3: I'm selling it because a 12" iBook would better suit my needs.

I'm selling it because it's too much computer for my needs. I'm going to build myself a gaming PC and buy a 12" iBook for school in a month or two.

I actually love this computer, but I can't justify it right now (maybe after college) and love OS X Tiger even more.

I checked www.appleinsider.com and www.thinksecret.com and there are no rumors about any changes to PB's, which doesn't surprise me. They already get pretty warm and I can't imagine Apple bumping speeds/going dual core until they redesign the PB, which they wont do for a while.

Come on man, $2000 for a computer someone can buy for $1800 with educational discount brand new? You need to be a little more realistic with yourself about the price if you want to get offers. Check the completed listings on eBay for what a fair asking price would be. They do retain their value well, but not that well. I just sold my 12" which I originally paid over $1500 w/discount about 8 months ago for $1200. Good luck though.

Make an offer, that's the reason I put OBO (or best offer).

How am I asking for more than retail? The computer retails for $2150 and that does not include the extra gig of memory ($500 through Apple) or the software that comes pre-installed. Also, not everyone is a student. If a student wants to buy this off of me, they can offer me what they feel is a reasonable price below the student discount.

Did you get the extra gig of memory from Apple or somewhere else?

FYI, I don't expect to get $2150 for it, that's why I put OBO.

that thing is worth more than $2150 (Photoshop CS = $400 low ball, VPC = $200 low ball, Office = $150 low ball) + $350 1gb ram + $1999 for the computer = good deal.

this is given that you wouldn't illegally obtain some of the software...

Yea, I'm sure a student bought Photoshop CS, VPC, and Office. There's also no way he paid $350 for a 1GB stick. More like $180, and you can't expect to pay full price for that. And, you can get the computer for $1800 brand new with discount, and they don't even check to see if you are actually a student. He obviously values the computer and it is worth more to him than what other people expect it to be worth. I am victim to the same problem. I always overvalue stuff when I sell it used, because I think it should be worth more. The reality is, it isn't.

im a student and I bought that stuff? :dunno: Im not saying he paid $350 for that 1gb stick but thats how much one stick goes for on the apple site. He might have paid less but the fact is...with that software and such on the computer preinstalled, his original price is definitely worth it.

I bought Photoshop CS and VPC from a friend (I have the actual install discs/boxes around here somewhere) who had to switch from Mac to PC for work purposes. Office 2004 was purchased from my school's student store.
