How is it an investment when it immediately loses a huge chunk of its value when you first shoot it? Not to mention, you never get your $200 tax stamp back?

Not to discourage the purchase and ownership of suppressors or anything. I think everyone should own one. They're great for indoor shooting, to keep you from murdering your ears.

If you're looking for cheap I'd suggest the Tactical Innovation Tac-16 can, which is honestly to me just as quiet as my AWC Raider.

However if you're looking for an excellent quality and suppression I'd consider the SWR Spec-War 1 or 2 (for that belt-fed fun).

However if I had to do it all over again I'd have picked up an AAC Krinkov in 7.62 and had a QD setup made for a 1/2x28 mount. That way I could use it on an HK53, short barreled ARs (and not worry about baffle strikes), 308 bolt guns, M1A, HK91, and an endless other possible host guns in .223 and .308. This is gonna be my next can after I get the SWR Trident.

However if you end up with a Gemtech, you're not getting a bad product by any means. I've talked to Dr. Dater a couple of times on the phone, and he is very helpful with any problems or concerns you might be having. I wouldn't hesitate picking up another Gemtech can.

.223 with a suppressor sounds like an unsuppressed .22; however a .22 suppressed can sounds like quiet air gun.

I've been thinking about getting the paperwork started on a suppressor for my .22's.

But when I think about getting one for my .308 I get a boner:wackit:

Ya you'll have ultra quiet shooting while clogging up your suppressor.
