Its been bothering me when benching, doing dips, or any push movements really...........has anyone experienced this? when I put my arm out completely straight and sort of flex my tricep and feel the tendons one of them seems like it may be irritated and definitely hurts if i apply a lot of pressure to it. i can feel it.

    what steps do i take?

ice it down, put deephot/iceyhot on it. My elbow was doing that i think

The first set is fine but after that u have to force yourself through the pain to finish the set?

    Ice + iceyhot/tigerbalm the bitch

damn it ! i have the same thing on my left elbow. i was db benching and it became insanely painful to press it so i stopped and rubbed the area near the funny bone and it was tender/bruised. Got scared so i went home.

Fast forward 1 month and i still feel the pain but not as pronounced as it used to be. First couple of weeks i was unable to extend my elbow without that achy/sore pain. If i just extend my elbow without the use of any muscles.. the pain is not that noticeable but as soon as i use my triceps i feel the pain right behind funny bone...

Like right now i can extend it all the way but once i engage my tris as if i were "flexing" it.. the pain shows up.

It sucks and stay off it...if you keep stressing it.. it'll get worse and it wont heal.

been off of weights completely. just cardio. ice it day/night. use a neoprene sleeve 24/7. i'm wearing one right now and i'm about to hit the sack. I wore it all day today. By doing this.. i went from not being able to extend it all the way to being able to extend it 100%. Just waiting for the tricep part to diminish.

+1 on iceyhot. i just bought the generic cvs brand. same ingredients :hsugh:

soon as i shower i rub that shit... then once it dries up i put on my neoprene sleeve and go to sleep.

i heard tendons take the longest to heal due to their lack of blood flow in that area.

SO just keep it warm and dont engage it too much. Anything that involves your arm being extended straight out + use of triceps = game over.

I had that sht in my knee when I was a kid from skating... it went away when I stopped skating. Maybe lay off the pressing for a while and see if it helps? :dunno:

ice first 24 hours, ice after each workout. Do the handbike before you do any upper body movements. Do stretches for the extensor tendons. Do wrist curls if you can to strengthen up your flexor tendons, this will ease pressure on the extensors. Time is really the only thing, throw some naproxen in there too. Icy hot usually wont do shit. Wearing a sleeve at first may help during your movements, but its going to weaken things over time if you continually use it.
