MAN! This thing fucking rocks. I really like this operating system, this laptop, the way it looks, the way it functions.... fuckin AWESOME!

    :coold:

Best part of it, was that it was free :bigthumb: !

Why does OT appear in black and white? :ugh:

On a side note, how do you install programs?

download them and then mount the dmg, then youll see the app. icon and just drag it into the application folder.

Alright, nice. I figured out how to install applications. I'm guessing that you just send the file in the application folder to the trash to uninstall?

some programs come with an installer, some just come mounted inside a .dmg file. the ones that require an installer should automatically place the app in the applications folder. if not, just drag it to the app folder and you'll be good. the ones that don't have an installer can be dropped directly to the folder.

when you uninstall an application, make sure to get rid of its preference file. do a spotlight search for that program and find a file that ends in .plist. it will sometimes start with com.{programname}.plist. not always necessary, but it keeps things clean.

    congrats on your ibook!

Can someone explain expose a little, my dog ate the manual that came with it  :o

I've already installed some apps (aperture, CS2, and a messaging app)
    This OS > *.*

expose is a way to see open windows or to remove any open window. F9 will show you all open windows, f10 will only show open windows in the active app, and f11 temporarily hides all visible windows
