Leave is always a good time. 53.5 days saved up for me.
Roger that. Except when in time of war or when there is something drastic happenin' like 9/11 that hinders your ability to take leave, in which case you can accumulate past 60 days, blah blah blah.
I need to use a couple days so I don't lose 'em soon. I haven't taken leave since the 17 days I took in January this year. I didn't shave a single day, it was fantastic. Hopefully I'll be able to use a good chunk of my leave before I transfer to my next unit durin' spring/summer '06.
I only have like 16 days.
they dont reset when you hit 60 days... they reset Oct 1st (new fiscal year) if you have a balance of over 60, unless you are deployed and unable to take them...
Are you going home?
Im thinking about getting some friends to go to Taiwan or to the Flip
on leave 2/3rds of the year (while still getting paid) crew sign in
canadian equivalent of ROTC .. there are no such programs at civilian universities so we just get payed the same as any regular force officer cadet does (+ certain allocations, all tuition fees and books) if they were working fulltime, just have to go to our college classes and pass them. I only actually work for the army for 2-3 months during the summer (until i get my degree, then its fulltime of course). in the end its pretty boring though, I'm going to have a lot of catching up to do compared to some of my buddies who spent the year at military college in Kingston working their asses off on top of going to class.
sure I am, on my papers it says my posting is Laval University.. they can hold me accountable for any or all of my actions
Why take leave in December?
dunno, maybe that crazy "christmas" holiday everyone keeps talking about?
He's listed as active duty. He's paid as active duty. Probably also acrues time in service and leave as active duty. But he only works active duty during the summer.
Sounds like the best of all worlds.
Christmas Exodus starts Monday but i'm out of here Saturday Morning. Can't wait!
