Do those plans include big bumpers and big doors?

Oh please, do you really want to compare small vs big bumpers on the road now? Considering the big bumpers only came stock on 91 and 92 A2's, you still wont see as many compared to small bumpered cars.
The big bumpers just look better with the single round set up.
Just because its a somewhat common swap doesn't mean you are being like everyone else.

this thing is going to be road racing at sears pt during summer along with some autoX.

the suspension is already taken care of (neuspeed everything)...a new set of rims will be on their way. oz supperleggera's or something like that. 15x7

interior will be completely stripped, audi 90, a4, or even e30 dash. sparco wheel, full roll cage, one sparco seat, sabelt harnesses. also the fuel cell will be re-fitted in the trunk along with a fire suppression system.

exterior - big bumpers is a must!, not sure about the big doors. rieger aero pieces are also up in the air. the whole thing will be primer black for awhile, but most likely sprayed matchstick or amulet red.

engine - we're going to leave it pretty much stock maybe bore it out to 2.0, but for autoX or road race it doens't need to have super HP to be competitive. we might swap to a 2.0 x-flow turbo if anything. TST will be handling all the work

Superleggeras, in anthracite, you know it makes sense :bigthumb:
Colourwise I'd go for Tornado Red, original Mk1 GTi type.

Thats going to be one hell of a track car, its something I'd like to do if I had the time and the garage space.

but u came out alright =) :bigthumb:

it will add weight, but the weight is really trivial compared to the rest of the car. (2-3lbs maybe) i want a track car...but i want a GOOD looking track car =)
