Fort Bragg was too big and Iraq just plain didn't have it. Now I have to stop my car even in civilian clothes because I can't even pretend to not hear it here. Small posts FTL, even though I would stay here for the next 17 years of my enlistment if they offered 20 year contracts (I would have signed it... I mean, 6 years didn't look like much :wtc:)

Where in Alaska are you? I used to live at Eielson AFB and got married at Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks.

It was so pretty there. :) Make sure you drive up around the hills behind Eielson, there's some old NIKE missiles and shit. It's interesting to see them all destroyed and the landscape is like nowhere else.

And got to Pagoda in North Pole if you're ever down that way. GREAT Chinese. :)

Do you have to stop your car in civilians? I never learned that rule...

Yup. Driver has to get out but the passengers can remain seated.

    Do what?
At Keesler, you are supposed to stop, turn off the radio (or vehicle if loud enough) and roll down the windows.

    :dunno:

When I was stationed in England the driver (if in uniform) had to get out and stand at attention until "To The Colors" was played, when they had to render a salute. After the song ended everyone got back in the cars and proceded along their way.

You CONUS slacker fucks always did do everything halfassed. :madfawk:

It must be deformed, like a little carnie in your pants, with small hands and the distinct odor of cabbage.

Seriously, just go everywhere you can. :) Hiking just before the cold sets in is just amazing.

Here are some pics just from around Eielson and stuff... it's kinda ghetto but in a Alaskan way if you know what I mean?

Excuse the quality and repetitiveness. :)
