Where should I be pulling from? I feel it most in my arms, but if I focus I can do it a little more with my back, but it just feels like I'm pulling my shoulder blades together. And should the bar be touching my chest at the top of the pull?

Even after deadlifting, pullups, and bent over rows, I never feel my back get tired or sore like any other part would. It's usually my stabalizers and synergist muscles that get sore first. Is there any better way to target my lats without using a lat pulldown machine?

I never feel lats on bent over rows unless I load up and use a little momentum from the floor, resetting each rep

Not too heavy where your form breaks down though. I got pressured into 275 for 10 one day and every one of those reps was absolutely horrendous looking

I find that yates rows hit my back better than standard bent-overs.

Look up JS (John Smith) rows, may sometimes be referred to as Pendlay (Glenn Pendlay) rows.

    Hint: MESO-Rx.

Whenever I do any exercise, I concentrate on using whatever muscle group is intended.

i stick my ass out like i am sitting, bend the knees well, and lean forward

focus on using only the muscle groups it is to target and you will hit them.

if you aren't focusing and just doing the exercise, more than likely you aren't using the correct muscle groups. you KNOW when you are hitting the right mucles for bent over row

I think with any back movement, "pulling with the lats" is just something that comes with experience :hs:

upper body is pretty much parallel to the floor keeping your back straight and head up. make sure to pull up to the upper abdomen, if you pull to the chest youre biceps are going to be doing a lot of the work.

if you move around a lot youll start to incorporate the lower back...so stay steady. i got my form from arnolds encyclopedia.was a little weary about my back in that position at first but theres definitely a huge difference from when i was at a 45 degree angle pulling more towards my chest. just start out light and make sure you have your form down.

Same here. I'll try some different things with just the bear next week before I add weights. I just feel like I'm spinning my wheels right now. =/
