The first week I got so sore after working each muscle group out. I could barely walk after squats, i couldn't extend my armos over my head after tri extensions, etc. This past week my intensity hasn't changed at all. I've increased my lifts a good amount and I'm still hitting failure on several exercises. Is this just because my first week my muscles weren't used to getting worked out at all? Do you guys still get sore reguarly? Even after the brutal day 1 of chris's routine (squats, deads, flat bench, incline db press) my legs feel fine the next day, albeit a bit wobbly. I'm just worried I won't be making any progress. :sad2:

I always wonder that too. If it stops hurting after a workout should we step it up a notch?

SORENESS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH PROGRESS

it's called the repeated bout effect

when i was 16-18 I don't remember being sore once. Now that I'm 23 I feel sore for days after every workout :wtc:

any reasons behind this? Probably poor sleep/nutrition...alcohol :o

I'm always a little sore the same day, but when I wake up the next morning I'm not sore anymore.

in simple terms, it's your body becoming accustomed to the stress from exercise

Going into week 3 . I'm pretty sure it was just my muscles firing up since I haven't worked out in 4-5 months.

The initial soreness of working out is the worse
