    So I have recently started working out as I really am fat.

    I have a Total Gym that I bought last summer and a Precor Eliptical that I bought for the wife a couple years back. I hadn't been using either of them for months out of my own laziness and I have just gotten tired of watching my weight creep up over the last year and kind of stabilize out at my current 287lbs.

    So I went and got a membership to anytime fitness and here is what the trainer set me up with Please let me know what you would add to the workout to help with my goal of losing weight and then adding muscle definition.

    3 times a week workout with weights

    2 sets 15 reps each:
    Pulldowns
    inclined benchpress using dumbells
    Leg extensions
    step box
    squat press using balance ball
    and then 25 crunchs using balance ball.

    Then 30-40 minutes cardio 4-5 times a week.

    Oh and for the log part.

    I worked out twice last week using the Total Gym

    Then I did the full training that I posted earlier with the trainer 2 days ago and then yesterday I did that same set again.

    Pulldown:
    15 x 85#
    15 x 85#

    Inclined Benchpress:
    15 x 20# Dumbells
    15 x 20# Dumbells

    Leg Extensions:
    15 x 75#
    15 x 75#

    Step Box (2 boxes):
    15 up up down down starting on left leg
    15 up up down down starting on right leg

    25 Crunches on Balance ball

    Squat press:
    15 x 25#
    15 x 25#

    Then I did 35 Minutes on the Bike = 6.5 miles

    Lateral Pulldown:
    15 x 85#
    15 x 85#
    15 x 85#

    Inclined Benchpress:
    15 x 20# Dumbells
    15 x 20# Dumbells
    15 x 30# Dumbells

    Leg Extensions:
    15 x 90#
    15 x 90#

    Step Box (2 boxes):
    15 up up down down starting on left leg
    15 up up down down starting on right leg

    55 Crunches on Balance ball

    Lower Back extension:
    15 x 90#
    15 x 90#

    Squat press:
    15 x 30#
    15 x 30#

    Then I did 32 Minutes on the Bike approx 7.5 miles

    30 crunches and 40 minutes on the bike.

    Yesterday's (2/16/10) workout:

    Lateral Pulldown:
    15 x 90#
    15 x 90#
    15 x 90#

    Inclined Benchpress:
    15 x 30# Dumbells
    15 x 30# Dumbells


    Leg Extensions:
    15 x 90#
    15 x 90#

    Step Box (2 boxes):
    30 up up down down starting on left leg
    30 up up down down starting on right leg

    50 Crunches on Balance ball

    Lower Back extension:
    15 x 90#
    15 x 90#

    Squat press:
    15 x 30#
    15 x 30#

    Then I did 32 Minutes on the Bike

    2/18/10:
