I posted some of these in the 10-20 thread, but you all won't look at that so here is a thread dedicated to my latest rome exploits.

The majority was with a 10-22, some with the 28-135, one or two with the 75-300.

Lol, I didn't even notice the person... if I had just waited a second longer...

And yea, it's my favorite too... the others are kinda "Hey I was here" shots, that one could have been anywhere.. not just Rome. I'm doing Cinque Terre, Milan, Venice, Florence, Pompeii, and back to rome the next week and a half, so I'll have new things to take pictures of soon!

Coming from you, that's a lofty compliment. I've taken over 3000 here so far... I've learned more about my bad photography habits in rome than ever before anywhere... I'm still not great by any means, but I am improving. I'm also realizing that I'd rather be "Taking pictures in Rome" rather than "In Rome taking pictures" so I try to arrange my trips in such a way that I'll be able to get to a good picture spot... then it's up to me to actually make something of it.

I have a few panos I need to build, but my laptop doesn't have the free hdd space... will do it when I get home in January. I have been here so long that now I just pick a direction and walk sometimes... well I found myself on top of a HUGE hill that has a panoramic view of all of Rome so I need to build those pics up.

wish i could be there. i feel that i would get some shots of street photography as well. like to see the locals in shots i take (non tourists)
3000 shots would be a bit much, i get kind of burnt out after 15 rolls or so a day

I'm by no means an expert, and I'm surely not the most experienced here. I'm just as beginner as a lot of other people on here. But I will say, your pictures are great. I really wish I could get to europe so I could take pics like that on my own. Every time I see others pics from Rome or anywhere in Europe, it makes me want to go there so bad. :hs:

Keep shooting... can't wait to see more. :bigthumb:

Great pics! How did you get so close to the Trevi Fountain? It's usually packed with tourists.

Canon 10-22 all the way out to 10. You know how there are steps surrounding the fountain, and metal rails that work as seats on the very top row? I got on the metal seats, stood, and shot. Full view of the fountain, no people in the way!

Is it leaning to the right just a hair? My shots are always pelfed... I must be more diligent to keep the stupid camera straight.
