I skipped deadlifts last week because I was hurrying through my workout so I woudn't be late to work. Figured it would be no big deal to miss one week and I'd get back on em the next. Boy was I wrong. I did them today and not an hour later my back was locked up tight as a nuns cunt. I can barely walk, and bending over is torture. How can missing one week, after months of steady lifting, make me feel like I've just started doing deads for the first time ever? Plus that extra week allowed my blisters to heal up and I tore them open all over again today. I had to use straps to get through the rest of my sets, left that shit all bloody when I returned them. From now on, if I'm late to the gym or have to hurry for whatever reason, I'm dropping bench or something. Never again deads or squats.

try warming up and/or eating some protein. If you've been lifting and doing DLs that shouldn't happen. Hell i hit real heavy 5x5 deadlifts on tues., i'm on a diet, and i'm sore today but i was fine coming out of the gym.

Just straps. They wash them before putting them back in rotation.

Thanks. I already get a lot of protein though, on track for 300g today. I'll try warming up more though, I only do one warmup set right now. Plus I don't stretch anymore like I used to back when I was afraid of fucking up my back. Hopefully that'll help.

    This doesn't happen to me.

I'll skip a week of DLs and come back even stronger the next week. That's how I've set past PRs.

I'm starting to do Good Mornings again :coold:
