I see that I am able to have a new one for about $500 (Top glock, shipping, FFL fees). Since cosmetics aren't important to me, although it must function reliably, is it reasonable to expect to be able to obtain a used one in fair to good condition for $350 or cheaper?

    another vote for Glocktalk

I've seen two or three of them for sale there in the last couple of days. But, as was already said, 350 is a stretch. More around the 4-450 mark

What's the Glock 26 like? I've been thinking about getting one for CCW.

I carry a 30. It it holds 11 rounds of .45. The 26 is nice very tame recoil wise not a bad gun. All the subcompact glocks are nice.

If it's going to be about a minimum for $400 + shipping + FFL transfer (assuming I buy online) it'd be better to just go with a new one. . .

I'll be checking around in local stores to see what they have. I created this thread to see what an average price was for a used one so I could haggle at a gun store. Do you think I could get a used G26 for $400 out the door at a gun shop?

It looks like AIM surplus has glock 23 police trade ins for $369.95

All things considered I could have it home for maybe $410. Not bad, but I'd still prefer a 26.

23 is .40 much snappier recoil.

I've never fired a .40. Of course I'd try one at the range before shelling out hundreds.
