I would like to have a 10 foot fireball every time I shoot, preferably in alternating colors. Go with solution.

Short barrel 45 acp, hot load with slow burning powder like longshot or hs6 and a lead bullet with lots of lube.

Would not be surprized if it threw a jet of flame and smoke.

Pack 400gr or powder into a regular 9mm round. It will give you a nice lightshow. :mamoru:

That's a seriously compressed load, do you have to load it long? Any signs of pressure :wiggle:

Nahhhh, compress it as much as you can. Make sure you get a really fast burn too, get the most "energy" out of the round.

Seriously though, I dont know jack shit about reloading, just that 400gr is a huge load and could possibly fuck you and your gun up.

Given that powder is significantly lower density than lead and also given that most common bullets weigh in at less than 300gr ... 400gr is a fuckload of powder that you couldn't fit into most casings. I'll go out on a limb and speculate that it would insta-kB most weapons even without a bullet somehow crammed into the casing.

Without a bullet it wouldn't be compressed and no kB since burn speed is proportional to the pressure. ;)

sprinkle a little magnesium into the powder. should work fine.

LOLz 400 gn, you wouldn't be able to get any more than 15gn of "gun powder" in any common auto cartridge. But it reminds me of a scary encounter at the public range a while back.

I was at the public range of my club because it was raining and didn't want to be in the action bays and all I wanted to do was test some new loads. There was only one other person there, and he looked like he set up camp at a bay and had all of his stuff all over the place. It was some wacked out looking GI. He had on 5 entirely different patterns of BDU's on from head to toe. Peering into his army duffle bag, he even had face paint and MRE's in there. He wonders over to me and starts talking. I tell him I'm testing some loads and he goes to tell me he shoots over 150gn of powder out of his 9mm. I asked him if he meant bullet weight, he tells me " no bro, I worked in the armory in the Army, I know what the hell I'm talking about..." with big ass beady eye's. I was waiting for him to laugh to let me know he was joking, he just stood there staring at me. Long wait of silence.

After emptying everything I had in the mag, I slowly unloaded my weapon and left. That dude gave me the creeps.

I have wondered what would happen if you mixed in some differnt metals into the powder like what give fireworks their colors.

Probably would be a good one to try on your throw down gun, not your nicest.
