Which I believe is the best series of shows to be made, anime or not. Beautiful character buildup, mix of comedy, action, drama, love, and fight scenes. Coupled with the best ending of anything I think I have ever seen. I have watched the whole set completely a few times now.. and The Real Folk Blues pt 1 and 2 a bunch of times. What an amazing show

So im looking for something in the same genre, sort of. Not TOO scifi, or fantasy, like Escaflowne, or Gundam. Any suggestions? Only other anime ive really watched is Initial D.

Is the "Spirited Away" movie good, as well as the others by that same director?

Trigun and Outlaw Star are usually mentioned around Bebop. I highly recommend Neon Genesis Evangelion, but that might be too scifi/fantasy for you.

  3. Trigun isn't nearly as well done as Bebop.

Outlaw star can be fun though.

For a great series, Berserk was really badass IMO. The art isn't as good as Bebop, but the story and just overall experience is fucking sweet.

Trigun is a good one to get on after Bebop.
it's a bit more scifi, and maybe you could build up til you'll wanna watch somthing scifi crazy like Evangelion
    (my fav).

spirited away, as well as pretty much any other movie done by miyazaki or put out by studio ghibli, is widely seen as a work of art. it's not really in the same genre because these are focused more towards a family-geared audience... that's why disney picked up the license. but the animation, character development, music, etc. are really grrrreat.

I have to agree about Miyazaki. I love CB though. I don't want anyone to ruin the story line, but I have heard alot of good things about trigun, whats it about?

Witch Hunter Robin was a good one to follow up Bebop, done by the same studio. Very cool anime.

Trigun was great, can't go wrong with winding down with a Miyazaki film either.

    as allready said

    Witch Hunter robin
Trigun, if you liked Rurouni Kenshin style quirks
    FLCL is awesome/hillarious
Outlaw Star is pretty damn good to, be glad you didn't watch it 4 years ago when all anime was encoded with RM :wtc:

    other good series
    Neon Genesis Evangelion
Any Gundam Series is well down, even the dated animation of the 70s and 80s series the storys still shine
    Serial Experiments Lain
Ruouni Kenshin anything past the final battle with Shishio is boring IMO, still leaves you ~70 Great Eps though.
