Military Police are the second most hated group of people in the military.

Ah I can see he listened to all of our advice we gave in teh other thread. I'm sure the recruiter told him otherwise.

The Air Force isn't any better or worse than the Army.

LOL, yeah okay... Substandard living allowance isn't given to the army for living in army barracks... just the AF.

That's more due to the superiority complex the AF has and not the supposed substandard housing of the Army. I'm in the Air Force, live in Air Force housing, which is horrible, and was previously in the Army. Each service has it's good and bad bases. One isn't better than the other for housing, food (every service uses the same food contractor), or quality of life.

Let me go at this from a different angle. Why would the Army give the AF quality housing on a Army post when there are soldiers to house? Would you give your cousin that you hate your bed or the blowup mattress in the living room?

I'm not trying to act like the army has a much rougher time than the air force because it's not like my life exactly awful, but here's my point. I can barely force the food down my throat at the majority of DFACs on Fort Bragg, but when we go over to Pope AFB we enjoy good food in a great atmosphere while watching CNN on a plasma TV.

Same contractor for food so it must be perception. In regards to a plasma TV in the chow hall I could care less. I am there to eat food not watch TV. That 2K they spent on the TV could have gone to better use on base. In my opinion the AF tries to build a perception of a better quality of life with smoke and mirrors and pretty bows.

I dunno dude... could be the cooks or something, but they also run it differently. You pay 3.35 or something at the army dfac, on pope afb they give you a certain amount w/ a meal card and everything over that you pay extra. Samy way at the army hospital and the food is good there too...

Like I said, both branches have good and bad duty locations and bases. Both have positives and negatives. In my opinion they equal out in the long run.

I don't care if people who get in trouble seem to hate law enforcers... seems to be a connection there huh?

I've read into the forums at www.army.com and www.military.com and the combat ops side of things is very interesting as well.

Not to mention if i work my ass off I could possibly apply for SRT and if not K-9 which both also are thing's i'd love to do in their civiliian counterparts.

oh yea and the recruiter hasn't spoken anything to me except for what papers i need and what all i have to do to get this going.

i'm doing all my own research into what benefits i am entitled too and as to how the job goes and etc etc. I don't trust word of mouth of just one person to make a huge decision on especially a recruiter.
