Had a chance at the range to shoot some 9mm pistols and I want one now, regardless of how hard it is to find ammo for them. These are the 3 choices i've narrowed it down to.

Do your research, try to shoot what you can, and get what's comfortable to you. Being that it has a good track record for durability. WMD is the last place to come for opinions on anything other than glocks and XDs.

    Try this place, pretty active.

We get it, they're good guns... that doesn't make everything else not worth looking at. Christ, GlockXD fanbois are worse than mac fanbois.

Of the three, I'd get the Taurus. The Steyr is ugly as sin, and the Ruger has a slide-mounted safety.

Though I'd much rather have a CZ or a Sig.

The only reason i listed those three is because on sunday i spent some time out at the farm getting rid of my 45 flinch and i ended up really liking the p89. the steyr filled my grip almost perfectly but is ugly as sin, and the taurus..... was non functional. also there are no cz's or glocks up there is because i cant find one that isnt rape priced.

I guess out of that list I'd have to say the P89. They are realiable if nothing else. Even if they aren't super popular they have been around for a long time so it is easy to find accessories for them. Mags are pricey but available. They are heavy, and the trigger sucks, and the OEM sights are terrible.

The Steyr... they are neat and I thought about buying one once before I decided I didn't want to go on fucking treasure hunt every time I wanted an accessory or needed a part.

    Taurus... really?

All of those choices suck. :(

If you don't want a Glock, have you looked at M&P's?

Yea I love the steyr, but they just announced they will not be producing the M9 for the US anymore. Although they will still honor warranties and what not, prices on magazines and accessories and parts are sure to go up. I wanted an M9 as my first pistol, decided on a Glock 17. I couldn't be happier with my choice. Goes boom everytime I pull the trigger and accessories are endless and inexpensive
