ok first i will start off with this, i know how to eat well, i know what macros are necessary for a good physique, i know purs diet and i have refined my diet to work well for me in certain circumstances.

second, i am very active. tomorrow i will circuit train for 30 mins (LFLYOC routine), gymnastics for about an hour, MMA for about an hour and then ill take a 20 min jog.

    here is my meal breakdown

    meal 1:
    oatmeal
    50g isolate
    1 tbsp PB
    1 small banana

    meal 2:
    stirfry (chicken breast, veggies, etc.)
side of rice or sweet potatoes

    meal 3:
usually the same as meal 2

    meal 4:
FF cottage cheese w/ fiber 1 twigs (57% fiber 60 cals per cup)
    tbsp pb

now when i follow this, i get good results, problem is i die. i get so fucking tired and i want to sleep all day. if i compensate with more food, i feel better but fat loss stops. how can i combine the best of both worlds?

You "circuit train for 30 mins (LFLYOC routine), gymnastics for about an hour, MMA for about an hour and then ill take a 20 min jog"...it's not too surprising that you're tired. Also, I don't see how you're getting 2700-3400 calories for the diet you listed. I'm getting 2200 and I'm being generous.

Get a blood panel done to make sure you don't have thyroid problems if you're really worried. Otherwise start taking vitamin B6/B12, CoQ10, and maybe throw in some caffeine on days where you're really sluggish.

If you were really concerned with your losing weight you should cut some PB out...too many calories, and get more protein and fiber rich complex carbs.

    oatmeal (1/2 cup dry) - 150 calories
    50g isolate
    1 tbsp PB - 100 calories
    1 small banana - 100 calories

350 calories without the 50g of isolate, which I don't imagine is close to 600 (closer to 300). That puts us at 650 calories for breakfast.

Why don't you just post up a fitday screenshot?

that's what I was thinking, his isolate is more along the lines of 200 calories. Unless he's cramming down 3 cups of oatmeal, there's something going wrong here. I added up this shit and I'm seeing somewhere in the range of 1500-2000

so basically you're eating 2000 calories and that's being generous.

You said 1tbsp of peanut butter and you have 2tbsp in fitday. 1 cup of cooked oatmeal, for me, is 140 calories. 1.5 cups would be 210, so I'm assuming you're eating the flavored stuff. Even still, the 100 calorie difference is pretty large. Also, you said 1 small banana and in fitday you have a medium banana.

I'm not trying to nitpick, but it's important to know exactly what you're eating on a daily basis. You say you eat 2700-3400 calories, but it really doesn't seem like it based on your original post.

its the real stuff, not flavored crap. as for the other stuff, this is just what i ate today, its not a carbon copy of what i posted.

i guess the reason for this post, ultimately is, where can i add quality food to my diet? should i post up my daily schedule? right now we have been nitpicking bullshit things. i try and be as accurate as possible, whenever i am unsure about what to put into fitday, i try and tend towards overestimating things.

700-1400 calories is not bullshit when you're complaining about a lack of energy in the gym. Based on the diet you posted in the original post, I would eat more (complex carbs, healthy fats) etc. and supplement with B-complex/CoQ10/caffeine as necessary.

That is a lot different than what your fitday screenshot. If you're following the original, you're not eating enough. If you're following the fitday screenshot you posted, then you should be fine energy-wise and I would look at other factors (thyroid function, sleep habits, hydration, additional supplementation, etc.).

If you follow the original diet you posted you're at 2400 tops. The one you posted for today is 3600. Split the difference and try 3000 calories for a few days. Play around with your macros a bit too (more carbs less fat, less carbs more fat) and see what your body responds to the best. What Pur taught me is that it's all about figuring out your body–everyone is different.

i usually get between 3000-3600 cals per day

i keep carbs strictly around workouts, which helps me with energy
