    Your lack of details rocks.

What makes you think you will be one?

Sorry about the lack of detail but i dont have them either just yet. I just volunteered to go with a nearby guard unit to be doing the garrison MP stuff. I really dont know much more than the location so i just figured i'd ask about them.

AFAIK there aint much out in Friedburg. We have a detachment out there, and the guys tell me there aint shit to do.

But honestly I've met people who say the same thing living in the middle of Mainz or Wiesbaden, so I guess it really is up to you to find things to do. I have a ton of fun in Germany, and most of it isn't near my post (Wiesbaden Army Airfield). Besides, you're going to be in fucking Germany. Go travel as often as possible. $5 plane tickets on Ryan Air FTW!

man everyone guarded convoys, i saw paper pushers standing at a .50 cal over there. Any job in the army can guard a convoy

IF you plan on local law enforcement when you're done with the military, don't get pissed/offended when you get told that your time in service doesn't count as lateral time into civilian law enforcement.

How is WAAF doing these days, I was stationed at McCully shithole...I mean Barracks and spent a lot of time with friends there when I first got to Germany. I left in early 02, I imagine it's changed a little since then.

from what i have heard in the forum many times now, most police departments want infantry. They want someone they can teach to do things their way not th emilitary way.
