    I didn't make a mistake did I :noes:

G9's in mint condition with box, manuals, battery and charger, all that crap.

D70s (body only) has 13,5XX actuations, recently cleaned by Nikon, comes with battery, charger, Extreme 3 CF card and bag.

    Opinions?

honestly, i'd keep the G9, and this is from a Nikonian.

The d70s is still very capable but compared to other bodies out there, there are better sensors/processors now than in the older technology. You have to remember the d70s debuted in 2005 and the d70 debuted sometime around 2002/2003.

I'd save up some more and get a slightly used canon or nikon instead of just trying to jump into the DSLR because you can.

D70/70s are pretty outdated. If you play w/ the D80 or the D90 for 10 minutes, you won't want one. The G9 is a great camera... I'm thinking of getting a G10 as my P&S. My cameras don't exactly fit in my pockets. :wtc:

Keep G9, save up for a D80/D90 if you wanna start with a D-SLR.

Now you guys tell me. Oh well, already went through with the trade. I think I'll have more fun learning on the D70s anyway.

I figured I could get AT BEST $275 for the G9 (especially since the G10 is on sale at circuit city for $350 and dropping) and who knows how much more I'd have to save for a decent body.

I think the fact that I didn't have to pay anything up front or deal with the hassle of finding buyers/sellers was a big factor in my decision :dunno:

I posted in here 4 days and then 2 days before I did the deal.

Didn't get any responses sooo what can I do. I'm having fun with it though, isn't that what matters?
