I just happen to be in Dharamsala for a meditation retreat from July 1-10. Perhaps fate exists.

    Eh?
I hope you find the insight you seek.

On another note, didn't you mention troubles with a girl that went to see the Dalai Lama?

No, not troubles. In fact, the girl is great. I was just sad to see her go. The troubles were with another girl, business and personal, and I've finally let go. It hurts, but I'm tired of being manipulated, taken for granted, and generally shafted and disrespected.

Doubt I'll get to meet him. I might, though. They do a procession thing on short notice... you buy a scarf on the way for a few rupees, then you walk by and bow and get it blessed and you get a string thing around your kneck to remember it by. Tibetans don't make eye contact when they bow, but alot of westerners do.

Step forward and bow your head. See if he will touch your head. On top, on the sahashrara chakra.

You can do this and get away with it cuz you're a rude westerner who didn't know any better. And you're penitent and worshipful. ;)

Hmmm... they say security is intense. China could concievably attempt assasination. I think I'd be too scared to try to pull that.

You have shaved your head completely, haven't you?
This isn't related to anything, I just thought I'd mention it. It's the first thing I'd do if I went to India for 6 mos.

Yeah, I guess security will be tight. Oh well.

I haven't. That would have ruined me in Goa. I think I will tomorrow though. Good idea. I need a haircut anyway. Been keeping it short, but not bald.

Strange isn't it that the dalai lama is always a guy, if they believe in reincarnation that could also imply the lama could be a girl eh? Well , besides that i don't know if he really does contain a 'oracle of wisdome' in his inner nature, but the dalai lama's that i have read about can be quite inspiring and do try their best to give a more deeper and insightfull on-look towards humanities inner spiritual nature. I hope you may meet him, and have an deep insight towards buddism, and its possibilities.

Well I personally am awed by the goodheartedness, wisdom and genuine compassion that radiates from Tenzin Gyatso. Something I never felt about Pope JP2. And as for any other Dalai Lama...well that's a bit before my time.

Its free in India. He raises money abroad.

Did you know that Ghandi slept with naked hot teenagers to prove his chastity... and that afterwards in the morning, he gave all the teenage girls enemas, and then his favorite gave him an enema... every morning?

God, there are no more heros.
