So, I have a work trip from Aug 5th - 10th in Hartford, but since its their miles, I was thinking of driving down to NY from 10th-13th and flying back from NY.

Anyone want to meet up along the way? The whole week in hartford I'll be busy during the days (work related stuff ) but nights are open and my weekend is free too (I still havent purchased the tickets yet, so maybe none of this is possible.. but im gonna try)..

any recommendations? a place to stay in NYC? What airport should I fly out of in NY?

Cool! I hope you have a great time. I'd come up and hang out, but I have to work all weekend, and I can't really afford to drive up to NYC and party right now. :(

I'm in Hartford frequently for work.
If I'm in town that week, maybe we could meet up for a beer after work or something...

it's the way i always do it when I travel

I always know a ton of people beforehand. you have to give sort of a buffer flake zone. 1/2 will automatically flake out on you when you get there, 1/2 of the remaining will not be free for one reason or another, and so you'll actually meet one or two of the people

The rain in spain lies mainly on the plain
in hartford, herriford and hampshire, hurricanes hardly ever happen.

    hmm..

there are some ghetto places here - i made a wrong turn and wound up in a very impoverished neighborhood - I guess i shouldnt judge - i doubt its TOO dangerous - but still, not a place i'd want to wind up alone and at night.
