It's going to happen. the 155 weight class DL is 445 w/ a belt.

    I pulled 355x2 for my last set today w/o a belt. (did 305x5, 315x3, 325x2, 335x2, 345x2, and finally 355x2)

I think I can definitely pull it off.

oh and everyone tends to use this for the DL, i use the straight bar.

good, tell your S&C that the trap bar isn't used in comp thus school records shouldnt be set with it

using a belt doesn't help me that much. Good luck though. Trap bars are gay for DLs too.

    Trap bar deads :hsugh:

You'll do it soon. Wasn't your deadlift like 315x1 last time you posted though? If it was, nice increase :eek5:

    Well I have until I graduate..so..late May.

I've been doing 5x5 with 5lb increments all until now. 355 did not go up that hard, I think I have a good shot at beating that record.

The record was set with the trap bar but I'm going to try to beat it with the straight. I don't know if I can even hold that much weight though, I'll have to check sometime.

I'd do it on the trap bar just to destory the record. If you dont some goon is going to jump on the trap bar and break your new record you made with the straight.

I guess you have a point there. If I can do it with the straight bar then the trap bar won't be a problem at all..

thats a crazy amount to up your max. 90lbs total in 4 months is 22.5lbs a month...so like 5.5lbs a week for 16 solid weeks

i guess theres a small chance its attainable but youd have to all out bust your ass, especially if your going to stay under 155.

idk what would be harder, staying under 155 or adding 90lbs to your max.

I completely agree..but think of this: A max is 1RM. I won't have all those others reps before that to drain me + my grip. Also, last week my last pull was 320x2.

If you want to make sure your grip is up to it use straps when warming up when you attempt to break the record. Until then, use a load of chalk and hold on with all you've got, you can also do some heavy rackpulls to see where your grip stands.
