I want to pull the trigger on the Mac Pro, but I know I have to wait a few weeks. Gotta let the dust settle from the last purchase w/ the wife. :noes:

not mine. She lets me have what I want, but I have to pace myself... which I rarely do when I'm obsessed w/ something. :big grin:

I'm probably going to get a different screen for it. I'm not spending what they want for a damn screen. I'm even buying RAM for it somewhere else. I can get 4 GIGS of RAM for less than $300. :o

Apple wants $500 for 2 additional GIGs. :ugh:

only reason I'm buying the pro is because I want to be able to expand the RAM and have it be fast enough in a few years... and this sucker is expandable to 32 GIGs or RAM. Good enough for a few years of RAW file processing. :)

Plus, HD's are getting cheaper and cheaper. The computer comes w/ a 500GIG and I have an external 500 right now. :dunno:

    glossy is more aesthetically pleasing

its probably easier to calibrate and get a truer color representation on matte

our mbp is matte, but external monitors are glossy. But that was also for running onsite slideshows on the laptop, if they can't see it from glare then whats the point :hs:

The base model comes w/ 2 GIGs... for 2 MORE GIGs, you have to pay an additional $500 where as you can get 4 more GIGs for $290.
