I think that stuff might be the lacquer coated, in which case stay the hell away. I have heard that the new wolf stuff is good, but the old stuff tends to gunk up the chamber, so if you ever fire non lacquered ammo, it starts ripping cases apart :dunno: I think the box o truth did a segment on it.

I've got some of the wolf military classic. It's the lacquer(the stuff I have is JUST lacquer, no polymer coating), but I've had no problems. I opened half the case, been shooting it in my ak, my mini-30, and will be shooting it out of the SKS I'm getting next week (woot! 1953 tula)

I've had zero issues with it, I'll pick more of it up from my dealer when I have money again :wtc:

laquer will always work in aks and sks's they were designed for that stuff, but some other guns will have problems with it sometimes, lots of people bitched about the laquer stuff causing problems in AR's I never had any problems with it though. Majority of the AK ammo i got stockpiled up is all old laquer stuff. Just ordered 2 cases of laquer 5.45 bulgarian ammo other day :bigthumb:

179 seems a little high for the 7.62. I dunno though. I just got a case off Sportsman's guide for 150 I think. I bought a fair amount of other stuff to and shipping was only $20

I just buy 7.62x39 when I see it at Sportsman's Warehouse. It's always $150 per case OTD. They've also got extremely cheap .38 spl for $6.50 per 50. They're factory reloads but they're 158 gr SWC. At that price they make great plinking rounds and they're also good for self defense.

How much are you paying a round in the end for the wolf .223?

38 spl in a 357 magnum is
Sure its not as powerful of ammunition, but its cheap enough to do target practice for a couple of hours
