I can't afford a real mac atm, so it would either be a dual boot on my current machine (AMD so i dunno if it would work) or a dedicated hackintosh pc...

    any ideas?

The GIMP It's alright, I wouldn't compare it to Photoshop by any means, but it works.

just because you don't know how to use something doesn't make it a "piece of shit." :hsugh:

CS3 are nearly the same on each OS. It could be the small differences that make up for it in the long run but I feel more 'at home' on a PC. I've owned two macs in the past but I have an itch to go back to them.

I've worked in a studio before so I understand the workflow debate. :o

    Explicate.

CS3 is the same across operating systems, save for the shortcuts, is it not?

And if I'm porting my design over into, say, visual studio, that isn't exactly improving workflow.

Whaaa, whaaa, baby doesnt want to learn something new to save $800+ on software? I suppose the next response, from you, is that you pirate your Photoshop. Good for you, some of us don't want to lose our assets/businesses over something so trivial.

Anyway, Gimpshop is a Photoshop clone. it's identical... down to everything in the same places on the menus... next complaint?

Have you even used photoshop? I have photoshop at home, GIMP at work. They are polar opposites.

And no, I didn't pirate it. The time I save with a program that has efficient workflow more than covers the cost.
