According to the article on the front page or Sherdog, Matt Horwich earns 80K a year.

    He earns about $26,000 a year base pay ($1,000 bi weekly, $1,000 x 26)
He gets $11,500 for a win and $6,500 for a loss
With in a years time he earned a record of 3 and 3
So he earned $54,000 in bonuses
Add it all together and he earned $80,000

Seems alot better than the UFC undercard fighters. Atleast they are being competitive. I wonder what they are paying coaches, and Superfights. Or if this is even a regular number for other fighters.

with ticket prices for IFL events i know how they afford that lol

but the UFC should be ashamed, with what they pay in comparisson to some of these others it's a wonder that people fight for them, well shit, maybe the exposure of the UFC gives ya better chances with endorsements etc,,,,,oh well, who knows, but damn that's decent money for some average fighters that the IFL has.

(some IFL fighters are pretty good, but let's be honest, they have some pretty damn average mma guys for the most part)

I'm not sure it's that much better than being a mid-level UFC guy. UFC fighters come to the ring as walking billboards for sponsors. They don't do that in the IFL, although I'm sure the benefits are nice.

this is true, but keep in mind that 6 fights/year is a lot, especially disregarding any injuries keeping them from fighting
