    Said to me by a logger on a class field trip when I asked how he stayed apprised of bills and legislation regarding timber and timber taxes, real estate laws, trucking regulation and other forestry associated issues.

    What a fucking true statement. If you aren't at the table, either in person or via your representative, your rights are on the chopping block. Stay apprised of county, municipality and state laws, and make sure your representatives know EXACTLY how you feel.

    That government that governs least governs best... but only if the people make it so.

    Very true. It takes 2 minutes to email your representative and trust me, not many people do it...it does make a difference.

    I can't wait to take part in the VCDL (big gun rights group in VA) lobby day next year. nearly 200 pro gun people go lobby all the congresscritters :coold:
