What kind would you get? Cost is a factor. I would like quality, reliable ammo, above Wolf-type, but I don't need anything special. These are for target practice, not daily carry. Some options:

    WWB - $199 + tax
GA Arms "Canned Heat" - $185 + shipping
    CCI Blazer - $160 + shipping
Blazer Brass or Federal American Eagle - $200 + shipping
    S&B Steel Case - $170 + shipping
    S&B Brass Case - $200 + shipping
    S&B "Range Safe" - $165 + shipping
    Fiocchi - $190 + shipping

I also have the same question for .223, but this would be purely for storage for later. Nice, brass cased, worth something ammo. Fiocchi is going for $340/k + shipping, but I bet there's a better deal out there.

fiocchi makes good 9mm ammo. IIRC the modesto PD or SO just ran their new recruits through training with fiocchi - some 14,000 rounds with no error (something like that)

cci blazer if you're not going to be reloading... shoots cleaner than the wwb, works great, etc... no reason to spend any more money on practice ammo

I don't reload, but I think if I did I might save some monies on ammo. How much do you think it saves per round to reload stuff?

On 9x19.... approximately dick as far as cheap ammo goes.

You will, however, gain loads that you can tune for your pistol, and use better quality components (for the same cost) which will net you better flexability, and intrinisic accuracy.

I save 48.72% on my 9mm reloads compared to buying WWB. 9mm used to not bring significant savings but that's no longer true. If you shoot lead, you can save even more.

I never shot that thing, but when I see that headstamp during reloading I chuck it to recycling bin. Talk about tight primer pocket.

Internet rumor is that people have started seeing the price go to 19.95 a box this weekend.

WWB since I wouldn't need to order it. The only problem would be whether or not Wal-mart had 10 boxes in stock :o

17.88 a box still so its not a bad price, though TN sales tax is kind of high and there's also a 10 cent per box ammunition tax.
