    I've been chugging grinded oatmeal for a while in my protein shakes, and was in the market for a grinder (I usually grinded them in a coffee grinder....to inconsistent results)

    Well I came across this page with a lot of excellent information on different grinders and links to good companies that make grinders specifically for stuff like oats , etc.

    does this apply to ground oats too? i usually just blend them in a blender, do a big bag that keeps me good for about a week or two. is this a :nono: and even worse am i somehow losing calories?

    I just throw 'em in the blender first, blend for a while, then add all the other liquids + powders. My blender is pretty cheap too, dunno why you all need all this newfangled coffee grinding jazz

    I just chug, don't matter how gigantic the oatmeal particles seem.

    i just use the braun hand blender, comes with a good mixing cup and plenty of other attachments

    i have a cheap coffee grinder and it does the job fine
