Nikon 50mm f/1.8D
Nikon 85mm f/1.8D
This is for a D50.
I can't decide.
Depends on your current lens. I vote something ~28-35, but 50 is the closest
I have a 50mm f/1.4 prime for a Canon, love it.
all depends what you shoot
50 f/1 noctilux
Depends on what focal length suits your style of photography better.
out of the two the 50 is the best bang for the buck...but i heart the shit out of my 85 1.8.
85 might be too long in most cases. But if you're gonna be shooting portraits a lot, 85.
85 its just sexy..
Did you end up getting either? I'm gonna be getting the 50 1.8 this week. My baby's due in two weeks so I want to get the shallow DOF figured out by the time he gets here and I'm taking 500 shots a day of him.
Haven't got either yet.
i say 85
Sniped an auction for the 50mm 1.8 last night
$79 shipped (71 + 8). Hope it works on my D70...I kinda guessed
Damn nice price.
The seller listed it as a film lens, so I think that shooed some people away, but I'm 99% sure it's the same one that will work on the D70. Kinda funny too, I missed out on a snipe the night before for $94, my wireless cut out as I was prepping to bid. Worked out pretty well.
You might not have autofocus.
