I bet anything it was a .25 acp

there was a story posted on this board about an old man that shot himself in the forehead with a .25, and he didn't die, and got like a nasty bruise, and that's it

I just read a story on another forum where a really old guy tried to shoot himself with a .25. He shot himself in the left portion of his chest where he thought that his heart was. He didn't die so he got up and examined the wound. Then he went back to his bed and shot himself again a little closer to his heart but missed again. Once again he got up and checked the wound. He did it one more time and finally shot himself in the middle of the chest in his heart. He had time to put the gun neatly on his bedstand and then fold his hands over his abdomen before he died :eek3:

.25acp or not, if the bullet didn't penetrate his tongue the man got incredibly lucky. I'll buy small rounds stopped by the skull, but a tonuge....if there was a powder charge at all in the round other than the primer I can't imagine it not doing more than that.

I think I'll stick with my tank of a Steyr, thanks. I'll take the weight on my hip and the ruined belts ( :o ) rather than a perp with a headache and a dead me.

I did meet a plumber today who carries a G30 and a G22, one IWB, one in a FOBUS. I was wondering where exactly he plumbs..

so is a .25acp>.22 short? i shot my Beretta mouse gun in 22 short at a block of wood before and it went plenty deep, pretty small hole but i think it would penetrate a tongue.

Maybe his grill was out of place, or he has a tongue ring.

.380 isn't a mouse gun caliber :wiggle:. Their just happen to be a few .380s that look like mouse guns.

Check out the rohrbaugh forums. I've been tempted to buy one several times, but they've very picky with ammo, generally no 147gr rounds, no +P rounds, and seem to be prone to being a little buggy out of the box. I won't pay $900 if it can't even shoot 147gr rounds.

Rohrbaughs have been plagued with reliability issues.
Rather have a Kel Tec P11 or the PF-9 than one of those (hell buy 3 for that price)

I finally picked up a Keltec P3AT. I've never had a background check go so fast. I turned in my paperwork, called my woman and told her that the paperwork was just getting started so I'd be about an hour and then the lady at the counter said that I was done. Approval took about a minute :eek3:. I'll take it to the range tomorrow to test reliability and accuracy.
