Should we assume those are still noob gains?
no. I am far from being a pure newb but I still see gains even though I'm cutting
strength is made up of both muscle size and CNS activation of teh muscle. So while you may not be gaining muscle, you can still get stronger by being able to more efficiently use your muscle which allows you to lift heavier weights.
this has been happening to me, i made a thread about it last week.
I've been sticking to my routine since Oct '04, but I haven't been lifting that big. I've started to make an effort to go for new PR every week. I'm just wondering how long it will last if I'm not eating big.
